   I’d love to attend this conference, especially because Pittsburgh is my hometown! I wonder if you need a speaker like me on the program? I spent 30 years as a daily newspaper reporter (most of it at The Hartford Courant) and for the past six have served as speechwriter/exec comms manager for the president of Pratt & Whitney (36K employees). I am also ethics comms manager for the company. I can address when to do a full speech vs. bullet talking points, assessing your audience, judging proper length, why cueing phonetic pronunciations in the draft is ever more important in a global world, effective use of anecdotes and how to find them, the process of obtaining full staff reviews, attention to pacing and sentence length, words to use and words to avoid in speeches, when to substitute a video for a personal appearance, use of Teleprompter vs. ex temp, speeches on leadership, ethics, employee engagement, gathering post-event feedback, extending reach via social media, etc.
